On this project we will be using a Parex Parlumiere lime render system. The existing render has been "hacked" off, so we are installing to the original brickwork. Firstly we will be installing a Parex fixopierre stabilizer coat to control the suction on the base coat. The base/leveling coat will be Parex Parlumiere Clair followed finally by a top coat of coloured Parex Parlumiere Fin

Rendering on ICF Blocks in East Sussex

Rendering On ICF Blocks

What is an ICF (insulated concrete formwork) build

An ICF build is a modern method of building in which premade polystyrene blocks are constructed together (like a big lego kit). Concrete is then pumped into the empty cavity to give the structure the strength and stability of a conventional build. As the blocks are made of polystyrene this acts as the structures insulation (both on the inside and the outside of the building). Because of the relative ease of building the blocks together, these structures tend to go up a lot quicker than traditional brick or block structures.

Rendering on ICF Blocks

Render is the perfect choice of external finish on an ICF build. The reason for this is modern through coloured renders have systems available that can be directly applied to the polystyrene formwork. The system our applicators are installing on the ICF build below is a K Rend TC15 silicone render system. This ICF Build in Battle, East Sussex was completed by Thermohouse UK. All the rendering was completed by our Envirorend applicators

Rendering System being used

On this ICF build we are using an "Iron Grey" coloured K Rend silicone rendering system . The base coat was K Rend HP14 with a mesh incorporated throughout (the mesh is used to increase flexibility and minimize the risk of cracking). We will then coat the base coat with K Rend TC Primer before finally installing the K Rend TC15 silicone render coat.

Parex Acrylic rendering in Three Oaks, East Sussex

Work is under way on this rendering job in Three oaks nr Hastings , East Sussex. Our client was looking for the best possible rendering solution to transform the old brick work on his property, into a modern looking white rendered villa. The properties location was set in woodland so a weather proof dirt protection render was recommended, due to the amount of leaves, wind and rain that barrage the property in the winter months.   The property has a lovely unique shape and a stone feature wall which will compliment the rendering brilliantly.

Check out this section of our website for more examples of our work

Rendering System Being Used

On this property we will be using a Parex render system. Firstly , We will apply a coat of Parex Microgobetis to prime the brick surface and control the level of suction on the render. We will then be applying a base coat of Parex Parmurex with a mesh incorporated throughout (the mesh is used to minimize the chances of cracking in the future). We will then be painting on a layer of Parex 310 primer in the clients choice of colour. Followed finally by the top coat of Parex DPR Optimum acrylic render. DPR Optimum is the perfect choice for this property due to it's unique woodland location.

Before the project begins our applicators mask up with plastic, any area's that require protecting.

Rendering in Cooden Beach , Bexhill on sea

Work is well underway on this job in Cooden Beach , Bexhill on sea , East Sussex. This job promises to be a beauty in terms of finish as the property can only be described as a "mansion by the sea" . Due to the properties sheer size and position backing straight on to the beach this will certainly end up in the portfolio . As it is by the sea the property will be exposed to all extremes of weather so it's absolutely paramount that we use the correct system .

Rendering system being used

On this property we will be using a 20mm thick Parex render system with a mesh incorporated throughout. There will also be raised "keystone" features on the window heads and there will be bands wrapping around the building imitate portland stone . We will also be applying a coat of "Parex Paraguard" for protection against the elements.
